Adult Pottery Classes

Beginning & Continuing Class

Students are taught the fundamentals of centering, throwing, lifting, trimming on the pottery wheel, as well as glazing. Continuing students receive instructions according to their interest and experience. Classes meet weekly for 2 hours. $365 for six week session, which includes includes clay and firing. Booked session and missed classes are non-refundable.

4 Week Hand Building

Learn hand-building skills and pottery decoration techniques to create your own functional ceramic pieces such as bowls, plates, cups, mugs, vases, and handmade items to decorate your home. Each session features a separate project to practice a specific hand-building skill. You'll finish up the course with glazing on the final day. 

All levels are welcome. The class will be limited to 10 students to facilitate one-on-one instruction. Class is taught by Pierre Bounaud.

$280 includes clay and firing.

Booked session and missed classes are non-refundable.

Couples, singles, and friends! Is pottery wheel throwing on your bucket list? Now is your chance to try to throw on a pottery wheel and make your own pottery piece. We will assist with basic techniques and fire and glaze one pottery piece.  90 min session for $80 per person.

Four Week Pottery Course

Join visiting artist, Theo Hirschfield, for a four week intermediate-advanced pottery wheel course.  This fun and collaborative class is intended to deepen and refine your throwing skills.  Learn how to throw larger bowls, bottleneck vases, moon jars and more. Students need to be able to center and throw a cylinder prior to taking the class.  If you want to take your pottery to the next level, this class is for you. $300 per person includes material and firing.

About the artist: Theo Hirschfield  received his Bachelor of Art degree through the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara  Hirschfield’s early ceramic work has been featured in Vogue, House Beautiful. Hirschfield recently completed his first solo exhibition at the CCS Gallery in Santa Barbara.  You can view more of his work here.

Pottery Wheel Kids Ages 9+

This class is focused on pottery wheel throwing.  Students will be taught the basics of making pottery on the wheel and how to trim and glaze their pots. Continuing students receive instructions according to their interest and experience.  $295  includes clay and firing. Space is limited. Booked session and missed classes are non-refundable.​ 

Clay Handbuilding Ages 6+

Students will learn various clay hand building techniques, learn how to decorate and glaze their kiln fired pottery. Class meets weekly for 1.5 hours $295 includes clay and firing. Space is limited. Booked session and missed classes are non-refundable.​
